Welcome To Crozet Troop 79
Getting Prepared For Life Since 1950
Troop 79 meets most Tuesdays at 7pm to 8:30pm at
Crozet Methodist Church in Crozet, VA.
Troop 79 is an active all boy Troop of Scouting BSA with members from all over the western side of Albemarle County and beyond. We are sometimes referred to as the Blue Ridge Runners for our fondness of backpacking and trekking through our local mountains. However, each year we find ourselves on the rivers canoeing and whitewater rafting, in unique wilderness areas learning survival camping, Council Camporees, indoor and outdoor climbing trips, and well, wherever and whatever the youth leadership want to pursue.
For Summer Camp we tend to rotate through various Virginia Scout Camps including our local council's Camp Shenandoah and Camp Goshen. This upcoming Summer of 2024, our youth leadership has selected to go to Camp Powhatan in the New River Valley area.
